La Ley es una banda formada en Santiago de Chile, a finales de los 80, formada por el guitarrista, Andres Bobe y el tecladista, Rodrigo Aboitiz, que pronto encontraron a la cantante española Shia Arbulu de un grupo nombrado Nadie, con la cual empezaron a hacer lo que serían las raíces de La Ley. La Ley hasta el día de hoy ha vendido más de 7 millones de discos alrededor del mundo. Después de la partida de Arbulu, Bobe y Aboitiz deciden formar un grupo de pop/rock y reclutan a varios músicos incluyendo al baterista Mauricio Claveria, el bajista Luciano Rojas, y el saxofonista, Iván Delgado. Tras la partida de Delgado, el grupo encuentra finalmente al cantante Beto Cuevas, y así comienza lo que sería la éxitosa carrera de La Ley. Tras la muerte de Bobe, fue reemplazado por el guitarrista Pedro Frugone.
