Cherlyn Sarkisian LaPierre es una cantante y actriz estadounidense. Lleva vendidos más de 180 millones de discos en sus 45 años de carrera como cantante, . Ha logrado convertirse en una de las personas más influyentes del planeta del último medio siglo. Su éxito cinematográfico más notable fue en 1987 en la comedia romántica Hechizo de luna por el cual fue galardonada con un premio Oscar y en 1998 vive el punto más alto de su carrera musical con Believe, que dominó las listas mundiales a comienzos de 1999 y que ha logrado vender aproximadamente 4 millones de copias sólo en Estados Unidos por lo que ha sido certificado de 4× Platino discos de platino por la RIAA.
