Testament es una banda estadounidense de thrash metal de California. Ha sido una de las bandas de thrash metal mas influyente de los últimos tiempos. Tiene tres discos que entraron en el Top-50 en las listas inglesas, en 1999 con el disco "The Gathering" entró en el Top-50 alemán y tambíen varios discos con mucho éxito en Estados Unidos. En los últimos años unas malas decisiones de negocios y la menguante popularidad del género han sido un problema para su mayor crecimiento.
