Gordon Matthew Sumner, (nacido el 2 de octubre de 1951 en Newcastle upon Tyne ), más conocido por su nombre artístico Sting, es un músico inglés que se desempeñó inicialmente como bajista, y más tarde como cantante del grupo musical The Police. También actor. El cine fue otro de los territorios que invadió el compositor, bajista y cantante considerado símbolo indiscutido de los 80. Sting ha logrado lo que pocos consiguieron: multiplicar como solista el éxito que lo había llevado a la fama como miembro de un grupo. Con 56 años y próximo a cumplir 57 ya ha vendido cerca de 70 millones de álbumes.
